I have a fresh install of Bazzite that I did yesterday, however every time I restart the computer, the ethernet connection doesn't work (I don't have wifi). The only solution is to just click disconnect/connect button and it works.
I have fast boot disabled in BIOS. I don't dual boot, just have Bazzite installed. It's a Realtek r8169 driver/kernel in use. It's a desktop pc, not a steam deck type of thing
It's a small inconvenience, but I remember this reason is exactly why I hopped over away from Bazzite last time. I'd like to see if I can get it fixed though
Solution
UPDATE: I solved it by doing a thorough research on how to fix ethernet connection upon sleep wake up/reboot.
In terminal, all I had to do is type the following:
nmcli c modify "enp3s0" 802-3-ethernet.wake-on-lan magic
nmcli c modify "enp3s0" 802-3-ethernet.wake-on-lan magic
-- replace
"enp3s0"
"enp3s0"
with the name of the ethernet as seen in Wi-Fi& & Internet settings.
