Vcore v3.1 hybrid firmware and commissioning

Hi I have done the mfbs hybrid mod on my vcore v3.1 and installed v4 hybrid firmware and was just wondering is it possible to run this version of firmware to setup the corexy belts before I installed the hybrid belts. If so what do I need to change in the config please. Thank you

What is "v4 hybrid firmware"?
cgrr [VC 3.4 hybrid 500]
Yes, no problem. The hybrid motors will run anyway, but you won't have the belts on until you are ready for hybrid. I think he meant Ratos V-Core 4 hybrid software. I just remembered, you need to add something like this (replace the 500 with whatever your size is): #VC3.4 500 hybrid. [stepper_x] position_max: 500 position_endstop: 0 position_min: 0 [stepper_y] position_max: 500 position_min: 0 position_endstop: 500 #End of VC3.4 hybrid #Overrides for margins in ratos.cfg for the VC3.4 500 hybrid printer definitions [gcode_macro RatOS] variable_bed_margin_x: [0, 0] variable_bed_margin_y: [0, 0] #end of overrides

there is ratos, and you can configure it, but it isn't what I would call firmware. Are you saying you're on ratos 2.1 and trying to run the configurator?

Ok sorry for the confusion I mean hybrid configuration,I previously was running hybrid setup but because I've changed my belts I need to set the corexy up first without hybrid belts on and was just wondering if in need to do anything in changing config to run in corexy mode.

Ah, nope. Leave the config as hybrid and just leave off the belts. You can think of those extra belts just "boosting" the y-axis, so as long as you aren't trying to tune for a speed bemchy before you've hooked everything up you should be fine
