Tips for getting a stain out of leather shoes?

Picked up these pre-owned Grant Stone loafers during the sale. I really like them but if we're being real, they are a little more... pre-owned... than I was expecting. I can handle the creasing considering the price, but there's a big stain right in the middle of the left shoe that is really detracting from my overall satisfaction with them. Anyone know if this is something I could buff out, or if a shoe repair place could fix it? I can always return them but figured I'd ask first

Clean and condition them with lexol or saphir and see if that does it. Otherwise yeah take them to a shoe/leather care place.

I've got Saphir Renovateur and Creme 1925, also have dubbin I'm guessing I'd use the Renovateur?

yep that's a good start! you can also use some specific brown leather conditioner to even out the discoloration

Secondary q: How do you feel about the overall condition of them? Tbh might just drop them at the shoe place I use so they can get them looking nice

I don’t see anything else major that a good clean and condition wouldn’t take care of. If they were mine I’d give em a once over myself and see how I felt afterwards, but if you’re feeling the pull to take them in and you got the cash it obviously wouldn’t hurt.

They look great surface defects aside. Soles have very little wear on them so if they fit well and the price was good I'd keep them personally.

Yeah agreed, also just realized they're final sale anyway 😜
