Cannot Log into Epic store - client_id required
My Heroic Games Launcher cannot log into Epic Games Store. I believe the launcher is constructing an invalid uri.
Here are the specifics (latest release
2.17.0):
1. Manage Accounts -> Epic Log In -> Login Through Steam
2. Authenticate using app and 2FA
3. Interstitial "Loading" Spins forever
4. Click the browser link at the top right
5. Receive error client_id is required
Attempts to fix:
1. Uninstall application and delete all config and cached data
2. Alternative login method. I'm logged into Epic in the browser on the tab adjacent to the json payload tab with the code. Still fails with same error.
3. Don't use login via steam, but input my user/pass directly
None of these work. I am able to log into GOG and Amazon without issue. This seems to be a launcher bug specifically with logging into epic. You are not providing a client_id parameter in the request.7 Replies

I have used both and it still fails.
I am also located inside the USA and I'm not using a vpn.
