I don't understand silhouettes!
I was wondering if you guys could help me identify which silhouette would suit me the best and help me understand them aswellđ
I've watched a couple videos on them and I'm still not fully sure how to determine which one will suit me best
For reference I'm 6ft+ 64kg ish, I'll send a couple outfits that I feel like look best on me too for reference

Is there anything about the outfits you posted that you donât like?
In terms of fit
I'm quite satisfied with the fits
I donât really understand them either, but the good news is you donât have to! There are no âbetterâ or âworseâ silhouettes for people, despite what YouTubers or anyone getting paid to talk would have you think.
Looser clothes and wider silhouettes are trendy now, but not objectively better. The fits you have on hereâhoodie and straight fit pantsâlook totally fine. If YOU like it, then thatâs a silhouette you like.
Oohh okay thanks lol đ đ @LowBow ty aswell
Also whilst we're on this thread I did have another question
How can I find my own style?
Looking around and experimenting is always fun too! People here are happy to give feedback or help you find words for certain clothes if you find pics of other fits you like
I feel like I'm wearing more basic stuff and I want to hone in a bit more
Okay thanks a lot!
Yeah haha I was gonna say something similar of itâs really subject and dependant on your taste. I too am trying to figure this part out for myself and personally have found the most progress by just trying shit on and really understanding my measurements. A big part of it is gonna be taking an L or two on something you thought might work but doesnât quite look right once youâve tried it on
Scroll up to the top of #fashion-guides and youâll see a few articles about personal style to get you started, but the super short version is: experiment and reflect.
Okay thanks a lot
Thanks a lot honestly like myownmoses said I see youtubers waffling on about silhouettes and the best one etc and it just confused me đ
A good example recently is Iâve bought a pair of Oni 222s that Iâve really wanted for a while and am currently happy with. That being said after a couple months of wearing them and trying them with different things, I wish I wouldâve gone down a size in the waist so theyâd sit a tab bit higher and got them hemmed about an inch longer than they are. Still love them but ultimately figuring out what works is just gonna be experimenting with it
dont trust anyone who says the word best w/r/t clothing
best is only definable for yourself and by yourself so what myownmoses said - experiment and reflect
#waywt is a good resource to see what a bunch of different people are wearing, if you browse you're sure to find things you like and dont like and from there might come some direction for you to explore
I'll keep that in mind ty
also if u haven't yet, browse thru #inspiration and #waywt-highlights here. lots of good shit.
best thing u can do IMO is start to collect pics of fits you think look good, and once u have a little collection going, try to understand why u like them and what things they have in common.
once u do that, u can bring a couple pics back here and make a new thread asking where u can buy the stuff u think looks good.
