Install location of Windows programs in BazziteOS

So i'm trying to install a few window programs in Bazzite via the [-right click- Open with] Wine Windows Program Loader. The program installed successfully, now i need to find the installed files. How do i do that? where are they located?

check ~/.wine but the more correct answer would be dependent on the actual app doing the loading whether it's winezgui or system wine (which is not provided by default) or something else

~/ means your user's home folder you should show hidden folders to be able to see it, if it exists

when i try to reinstall, it says the directory already exists...that means it has installed it was already preinstalled it was already preinstalled

that sounds like winezgui perhaps, but I cannot be sure as I don't have my device on hand. when you open the setup.exe right now, what shows up other than the actual installer itself?

yeah the idea is to figure out the handler, then we can go to that associated folder

that's not the one we're looking for. can you check File Associations for anything relating to .exes? in KDE settings I suspect it's that flatpak Wine but I'd like to make sure before we deep dive

open KDE settings, find the File Associations tab if it's in fact the Wine flatpak, it could possibly found in ~/.var/app/org.winehq.Wine/data/wine/

search for exe at the top or application. anything that can move toward finding an .exe's file handler

A shortcut may have been added. I would suggest actually deleting that prefix and reprioritizing WineZGUI as the primary handler. It provides a bit better controls for this

File associations and move winezgui up using the buttons on the right
