not really a doubt doubt but can there be hydride shift in this que and will tht effect the minor product?

@Dexter

because carbacation will be there
so it could be possible
i think
@Varun_Arora please help :p
Yaa I saw
Actually I was busy with ordering lunch 🙂
Will respond in just a tiny bit
@iTeachChem @Sephrina
From what I can see for now (Haven't really read it well just guessing)
You sure will get a mixture of products but the major one being the most stable alkene
Although the distribution would be very bad that you won't get much of the major one as well
Separation would be hella work
yh thts what i am thinking
cut there are lot of possiblities here
I'll draw this out once I'm done with lunch
Will send you that
You'll get much more clarity after that I guess
All in all though, anywhere you see a carbocation, you are gonna see a mixture of products
What changes is how bad is the mixture to separate
yh yh sure take ur time
i think this one will be pretty bad with the ones i see coming out as products
Hydride shift hi hona chahiye tbh
No?
Initial carbonation se two products aaenge.
And Rearrange hone ke baad two aaenge.
Ek common hoga dono mein so total 3 products
1 major 2 minor
but it doesnt end there na there is one more other step through which c is formed
Wot
Accha ok
Wo to doosri reaction hi jai
Hai

Yeah so... @Sephrina
The thing with this reaction is
There are 3 possible products
And the stability difference is rather not as high
Like if you see the major one (the middle one) and the right one
They are not as different in terms of substitution
So all of them would be formed to some extent
And it would be a mixture of products
Basically a soupy mess to put it bluntly
And also... There's a big problem with this
You still have water in the media after this reaction is done right?
This shit could go backwards as well
Well then.... Reducing overall yield of the product
So yeah....
On paper one could say ki bich vala hi banega
But actually things would be a BFM as one my teachers like to call it
Big Freakin Mess!
what if it was like this

ek methyl ki jagah
Ph migration would be preferred right?
Hydride hai na 🙂
Sabse pehle to vo hoga @hardcoreisdead
But haan agar ek or methyl ho in the place of that hydride and ek phenyl
Then phenyl would be preferred
I should start sending audios lmao
I type too much
Btw

oh yeah right got it
in both cases phenyl shift right

Yeah you're right
How do you even form that carbocation though?
Ohh I guess it maybe AlCl3 or something nvm
lol idk some1 else asked me
@Augustine says first mei methyl hoga and second mein phenyl but i say dono mein phenyl
a very big one
i got it thnks
