initial charge on top capacitor is c(e1-e2) and bottom one is ce2 initial potential energy of system = c/2 (e1^2 +2e2^2 -2e1e2) now when switch is opened i am somehow getting zero charge flow through e1 thus initial = final potential energy , work done by battery = 0 , heat generated = 0 can some1 confirm the ans anyone...?

It's a single loop. E2 doesn't play any role na?
