Account locked?
Is there a reason my account was locked? I played one comp game earlier today, came back and tried launching VALORANT just to see my account has been locked for section 7 of the ToS. I tried creating a new account and I encountered VAN 152? I don't know what the reason is but I was HWID banned before this, but it expired recently on "2025-05-31 02:07:58 UTC:00".

You prob have some 3rd party tool that triggered the ban
If you have cheats meant for other games, it could trigger it too.
Or prob some software you think is safe but isn’t.
why would vanguard get triggered if I don't have anything other than valorant open mainly
would riot support be able to tell me what was the issue?

not in synapse, I had some macros for clicking and another game on ghub
but they never went off ingame

vanguard does get updated maybe they added something to it that you had and that’s why

if you make subsequent tickets after it was closed they won’t

I got a reply from another ticket I created, they told me my first account was HWID banned and it lasted 120 days
But they didn't tell me anything else about when it expired
It means you won’t be able to play valorant for 4 months and then after 4 months you have to make a new account to play

vanguard bans you for things that aren't used in val?
vanguard is kernal level so by default it runs when you start your pc
most ppl change it to save on boot time so it only runs when you run valorant
but it will continue to run even when you close valorant
so any data of what you do after the fact is logged
and if it smells of cheats youll get banned for it even when youre not on valorant
its just the safest way to run i guess

Which includes injection tools
which a steam unlocker is
it has uses similiar to things like aimbot and whatever else
and even though thats not its exact purpose it falls in that category
it sees it as you preparing a cheat loader
without even having valorant open
thats just how they operate
im sure you could still use it but you would have to do so with the vanguard services disabled before hand
and then id prob uninstall it after using if you wanted to be extra safe
or not use it at all

9/10 people here lie about the fake hwid ban, riot devs here exposed many people saying ‘i dont cheat blablabla’
And the reason why they dont tell you what got you banned is due to cheat makers can make workarounds with that information

The suspension was triggered from a program detected by Vanguard as malicious and since there was no compromise on your account the penalty is correct. Keep in mind that this can be also just from having such a program on your computer and not just for using it in-game.
Our anti-cheat system is made to prevent as many players as possible from playing with cheats in the game. Before we come to such a decision for a ban, we make sure that this is the appropriate one.
Further details will remain private, otherwise it could endanger our future investigations.
This suspension from the account will remain in place, because our system triggered it as cheating, and we take these things seriously because it ruins the whole charm of the game if someone uses a program to cheat.

profiling is definetly not the correct term 😭 vanguard won't run every file on your pc to check if it's malicious I have downloaded stuff for games which isn't chests but vanguard would Def insta ban me for them, but I didn't because vanguard didn't care since I just made sure it didn't have anything that runs in the back ground and restarted every time after using it. my pc is literally full of cracked games, and offline games cheats that definetly would get flagged if I ran them with Val. it doesn't profile it only does it when it genuinely sees something, that's like saying profiling is watching a minority break into a house and arresting them. maybe I'm wrong.

When you previously appealed this ban in ticket #114446716, we had an agent look into the case as promised. However, when further review shows a penalty was rightly given, it's our policy to close the the ticket without reply—which is what happened here.
Our final investigation confirmed the cheating that led to the ban, which will remain active.
