5.1 sound through HDMI

I'm trying to get 5.1 audio to work. I have an LG TV connected with HDMi and Sony HT-S40R connected with HDMI ARC. I did select Digital Surround 5.1 in settings, but I have audio only coming through the front left and right channels.

Couple of things I have verified:

• The cable supports 5.1 audio (I use it with my PS5 all the time and it works without a hitch)
• My TV is set up and has also worked with various consoles
• Coppwr shows that outputs are being sent to the TV

I wanted to play some MGS3 (never played it before) and decided to play it on PC instead of PS5, because of the audio compression present in Master Collection, which has been fixed by modders, and now I'm stuck in this 5.1less hell.
Does anyone know how can I solve this issue?
