HDMI Surround Sound Not Working
Hello! I have seen this asked a few times (but with no solutions found, unfortunately) so I apologize if this is an annoying question.
I recently built a bazzite PC for the living room, using an AMD RX 9060XT + Ryzen 7 7800X3D. It is connected to a television via HDMI, that TV is connected to a 5.1 soundbar+satellite speaker setup.
I am seeing the option to pick 5.1 in the settings, but in the speaker test only front left/right speakers produce audio. Funny enough in game mode with this selection it does seem to be partially functional. The rear speakers and subwoofers produce audio and seem to work as intended.
Still, in some games testing (Clair Obscure, Mass Effect 3 Legendary) I have run into an issue where the front center speaker doesn't seem to be producing audio. This becomes an issue when dialog is mapped to that speaker and will not be audible.
Any advice for getting this setup working properly? I have found a few workaround with a decky plugin, but a solution that just gets things working as intended would definitely be preferred. Thank you!
