Trying to make Rifts from "The Midnight" visible (and to learn about tweaking shaderpacks)

there is a mod called "The Midnight" which spawns little rifts at night time to take you to a special dimension, and similar rifts have a chance to spawn to let you escape that dimension once you are in there. but with any shader pack enabled they are completely invisible. i have deduced that its an entity, and that the problem is something to do with the rifts using "GL shaders" based on an old post i read in the discord of that mod. just trying to tweak my shaderpack or my settings or even make a resourcepack or whatever i have to do just to make ANYTHING render for these rifts so they are visible in my modpack without disabling shaders.

Solution:
