I've already solved this normally, the issue is why can't i do it using constrained motion thing (Σ T.a=0) Even if its not enough to solve the question, atleast i should get the correct relation from it, but it's completely wrong, so what's the issue

here's the solution we can solve using the 4 equations pseudo force concept is used here option A is correct and a° = 26 m/s²

Using T.a=0 you get acceleration of m1 is 2 to the left, which is not useful as we could already tell that

The constraint we could already see is just put again by this eqn again These qs you can directly tell the constraint Also a1 is the acceleration that is "relative" to the larger block, you must have not written correct expression i.e not written acceleration in ground frame While writing T.a wala relation I hope I'm understood

also I can't exactly "feel" why the upper block is going to the left
coolguy.

yeah tbh same, one way you can feel is the pseudo force ofc it is greater than force of gravity on block2 hence it moves to left ig with this we can get the feel cause net pulling force is more towards left

i felt it in this way, when the bottom block goes up, the string slacks near the upper block, but ideal string must have same tension everywhere, so the upper block must go to the left, and there is no force acting to the left, so that's how i realised we need to use pseudo force

nah you're going in a effect---> cause dirn go in a cause--->effect dirn
