Any more information we can have about your setup? Any other mods installed? What's your in-game frame rate, tick rate and other activities indicated in the F3 menu?

Hmm, nothing out of the ordinary.
How much frame rate you get if you disable Distant Horizons?

maxes out at 100
idk how much ram to allocate- so i just did a random amount ;-;
That is a really large swing.
(concerned emoji)
;-;
im trying to figure out to optimize the pack as well ;-;
Have you change any settings for Distant Horizons?
mhm
current LOD is 56 and i have the quality to medium and cpu load to balanced

Wait, Distant Generation is disabled and you get very poor performance?
idk whats causing the low fps tbh
i've been trying to figure the issues out myself and i cant
:C
Pretty sure disabling that option should've improved gameplay performance. Weird that you suffer severe performance hit. Is this a fresh install of Distant Horizons or you're upgrading it from an older version?
its a fresh install.
its on 1.21.4
and i dont really wanna downgrade my modpack version rn since idk what that would do
counterstrike source
Okay, we can rule out config upgrade.
Try using a nightly (development) version of Distant Horizons, linked in #links-n-downloads. See if there's any changes to the frame rate.
alr
issue is im on 1.21.4-
would it still work-
nvm found it XD
found the nightly build
le title screen

which one do i put in the mods folder?

;-;
One that has the name of your current mod loader.
so fabric?
the middle one
First one works on both Fabric and NeoForge, second one is only Fabric, and third one is only NeoForge.
well my modpack is only fabric
so ill go with the second one
ima launch it now to test if it works
There's a storm approaching...
uh oh
ima see if this fixes it or not
loading up the world...
still low fps.
OOP NVM IT JUST JUMPED
How much you're getting now?
guess i need the correct version of bliss
about 80 ish
Much more reasonable.
ima see how far i can push it
i wish i could get even more fps so i can really crank the lods up
best i can handle rn is 128
as far as i can tell...
ima test the upper limit to see how far i can generate the lods
👍
my friend is suggesting i try to push 4096 lods :lmao:
i wanna test the limits..
so i am
>:)
doubt its gonna take this long to load all the lods i wanna render

4096 chunk radius is 67,108,864 total chunks in area. That is 1,073,741,824 blocks worth of area.
With my 5600G, it is estimated to generate 2048 chunk radius in just over a day. At 4096, that will take roughly 4 to 5 days.
guh im still gonna try it lmao
