Acer Nitro and Predator Lineup Fan Control Issues.
Because of how Acer handled things, there is no real fan control options available normally. Thankfully some mad lads created Linuwu-Sense which replicates those proprietary drivers to the best of their ability. Lact and many other Tools just do not work with many Acer Devices.
Problem is Bazzite refuses Driver installation. The tool needs to set up a Daemon as well. Specifically I am trying to Install Div Acer Manager Max, a Frontend for managing it all parroting official software. I have also tried installing the Drivers bare but it still refuses.
Now i know as part of Security the distro is supposed to be immutable, at least in part. But I need a way to manage the fans, otherwise my Laptop will cook itself to death as the CPU fans literally refuse to ramp up at all (the fans work fine in windows with official drivers) and the GPU fans have a very slow curve. There isn't any real way of fixing this in the Bios Either. I'm running a Nitro AN515-54. I already had to mod the System myself and Weld a Heatpipe from the Fan Control Chip to the Main Heatsink do to Thermal Failure of the Chip. Not entirely relevant but worth noting that I've already fixed the issue that should have had this machine recalled myself.
