actually, i do think it depends on the era really, i've never really see old '06-12 roblox being enjoyable due to the script limitation and maybe low fps counts (even though i had never play roblox in that year because young me likes animated show than video games) however, i think it's your opinion on which era of roblox is better.

I usually prefer 2013 Roblox, but I still think Older Roblox's just feels like the right era I should be in everything is changing too quickly.

I've been playing on/off since around 2010, with my current and permanent account being created in early 2012. Nowadays Roblox is very advanced and complicated. Games have the chance to pay for your mortgage, devs get paid six figure salaries in some cases etc. Back then everything was simpler, people made games for fun, to share their ideas. Sure by todays standards those games are dog water, but they were simple and fun at the time.
I think the thing people miss the most is the simplicity of those days paired with the sense of community we had. Not to add most of us were kids back then so there is an element of nostalgia and carelessness associated with evenings spent with friends on old games or PBS servers.
TL;DR, modern roblox is advanced and cutting edge and cool, but because of that it has lost some of its soul.
