Help with account - Roblox Forum

So I have a very particular question and I don't know if already been asked but hopefully someone would be able to help. Here goes hope it makes sense....
My son wanted to play roblox so he signed up using the app on his xbox series x. Doing it this way I believe means that he does not have an actual account ie email/password etc. When he linked his xbox account to roblox one it asked me to verify as he is only 11.
In doing so I don't ever remember being asked to provide an email address or password only a parent email. Therefore I think the account is set up only xbox based.
My question is because I want to log in online for him to add crossplatform friends/family I need to do this with a username and password which I don't have. I've tripled checked this by putting in his email address and mine in the forgotten password but neither are there as a password reset link never arrives. The phone number option also does not work. If I now create a roblox account online it wants me to create a username...but when I type in his user on xbox as that's what he wants to use it says already in use...probably by him. Are we going to mess things up by signing up to a new account or can we link them all up somehow?
This is probably really simple to fix but unsure how. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can probably make him a new account, it's not against the rules on Roblox to make more than one account and you don't need an email to make one I'm pretty sure.

Thank you. It was more so I could access his account to be able to add x platform friends that have added him. As it stands he cannot see anywhere to add them despite them having used his username. Apparently from what I have read you need to log in online to do this.
