Shift+Numpad makes it act like numlock isn't enabled
Hello! I am a recent installer of bazzite as I finally decided to convert my last remaining windows pc to linux and have been running linux on my laptops for years. I am trying to play my usual games and they seem to be working fine performance wise but I am having an issue where shift+numpad number is making it so its activating numpad as if numlock is disabled which is screwing with my usual play method of some games.
For reference I am running a wooting two he keyboard and am in the default typing profile right now.

bump?
Not at my pc right now, but there should be a list of advanced keyboard compatibility options somewhere in the settings
Maybe under the burger menu?
I definitely remember seeing an option for keypad there
This option maybe?

Possibly. Try it out
ill check

its grayed out
You need to check the option on top first
so un-checked behavior should be off
this option is usually disabled by default as some of these settings dont behave identical across all keyboards and are also not valid on all keyboards.
Plus the checkbox is just there keeping them disabled by default so you dont accidentally enable them.
essentially think of them as advanced extras you can configure IF you need it, which by the sounds of it you need 🙂

I had it disabled by default but was getting the behavior of it being enabled though..
yeah I have tried the setting on and off and it still acts like an arrow key
where?

im sorry for being frustrated its just small issues like this that prevent me from playing games on linux that make me keep switching back to windows for my gaming pc even though the games run fine otherwise
other issues like not being able to full screen a video like a yt video or a netflix movie etc. not being able to maximize my browser to fill my whole screen stuff like that just gets under my skin tbh
F11 to fullscreen a browser, click maximise icon to maximise it. Click the fullscreen icon, doubleclick or press F to fullscreen youtube vids.

this is "maximixed"
everything I click I have to move my mouse above the button I want to click and it is down below my screen
I'm guessing this is in game mode or something?
I never enabled game mode
From the look of it whatever is above the window is restricting the size of maximise

This is the version of bazzite I installed
its a weird bug if I toggle maxamize a bunch of times it behaves and does it properly
People above have shown the screenshot of the option I was talking about
but fullscreen video straight up doesn't work I can only fullscreen the browser
well ive tried toggling the option on and off and it made no difference to how keypad works sadly
it's silly, but did you both select the "Configure keyboard options" checkbox and click "Apply" button]?

I have tried both on and off and clicked apply both times
"Num lock: digits..." checkbox does work exactly like you want it on my machine, unless I'm misunderstanding something.
if numlock enabled - number, numlock+shift - arrows, numlock disabled - arrow
I don't want shift to activate arrows and what not
idk why it says "as in windows" I have been using shift + numpad number for my MMO games for years to activate abilities and now suddenly the same keybind does not work on linux
and swapping if numlock is on or off doesn't change that behavior at all it seems
