Project update 5.5 - 5.6, Project Library issues
Hey y'all, I updated a project from 5.5 to 5.6. Looking in the dash content I can see my project library but It's not refreshing for me to do any new tagging/computing? Does anyone know of a fix? I don't wanna waste the roughly 8000 ai tags on this projectπ

hey hey @IGY π
Just to make sure I understand
1. Did you have some assets tagged before updating the project? And if so, do you see these assets still in the Project Library?
2. When you say it is not refreshing, you mean you don't see your content folders in the folder list on the left? I video would be great, to make sure I understand π
1. Yes I did have assets tag in UE5.5 in the project & they are still found in the Dash Content Browser!
2. Sorry for the confusion, by "not refreshing" I mean I can't compute anything now as DASH content viewer isn't seeing any folders I didn't tag prior to the UE5.6 project convert.
^ In the example video I have a few folders from 2024 & 2025 I never tagged via DASH visible in the UE Content browser Yet sadly Dash isn't seeing anything new I could tag. P.S. I'll state that the DASH Preferences for External Projects is still saying UE5.5 for a project that was also converted to 5.6π (IE Interior_X01)

Thanks for the clarification, now I am with you!
I take it a simple UE restart doesn't help? π
If you try now, adding in some new asset folder, does it show up? And you can also try creating a new folder called test or whatever in UE content browser and moving/copying the missing folders there and seeing if the Test folder appears and if it shows these folders then!π
^^^ Well that works & if you then move it out of said "new folder" & back to the "content" folder it'll re-appear!

It's a wild 5.6 issue!! Like here's 5.6 with 1.9.1 > if you made a whole new project in 5.6 added a few items opened the new project & launched dash (let it start the foundation) it won't see anything to scanπ€―

It's a odd bug but at least there's a workaround!!
Very odd indeed π
when did you download Dash 1.9.1? Approximately?
I can't say, I know pretty shortly after I got the "DASH 1.9.1 - UE 5.6 SUPPORT IS NOW HERE!" email on 6/6.
Note that the workaround above is unnecessary now! Dash is now scanning/hunting for more folders in "content" like expected after reinstalling 1.9.1π
SORRY for bugging ya mate!!!!

No worries at all! π
We have shipped a few small patches for 1.9.1, so probably when you re-installed you got one of those that included a fix for your problem π
