shadow issues/render quality in the distance?
Hi, so I honestly haven't researched much due to laziness but I sorta looked around, and is it just a minecraft setting that is causing these shadows? Also, what settings do I use to make the rendering in the distance better quality rather than just very undetailed blocks?? thanks 🙂

you have a mod affecting fog (nothing shadow related)
and the entire point of dh is to render distant chunks at lower quality, you cannot have them in greater detail than full blocks
ah okay, so then that's where I use a separate mod to render higher quality?
if you want to sacrifice performance for higher vanilla render distance yes
appreciate it
also for anyone with the same shadow issues I just went into BCLib's settings and disabled the fog setting and it went to normal
!fog
You can remove fog in the config at: Advanced > Graphics > Fog > "Disable vanilla fog" or with mods like Sodium Extras, Optifine, or some other fog removal mod.
If the fog is still there and you have BCLib installed, you have to disable BCLib’s fog too.
