Yes - get your hands dirty. Play with stuff. Break stuff. Fix it again. Spend hours figuring out an issue that turns out to be stupidly simple. Don't let AI write any code for you.
If you're new, you should use AI to explain something that you don't understand. Or to clarify a question you have after seeing a blog/video/whatever. Use it to increase your understanding, but don't use it to get results. You don't learn from results, you learn from the process you take to get them.
