Was hardware banned for Lua script
i was queuing comp when all of a sudden i got banned for cheating. i was wondering why i opened tickets and it said it was for scripting/cheating i have never cheated in valorant so i was wondering and i remembered i have a logitech lua script that gives less recoil whenever you hold right click on your mouse. i completely forgot i toggled it by clicking caps lock and i don’t think it would affect my gameplay as i dont ADS shoot nor spray while holding right click. my battle tag is seto#yugi and my riot id is jettmaintrust i promise if i get unbanned ill never use the lua script again

Once banned for cheating, it is permanent. No unbans.
Only cheated hardware gets a 4 months ban, you can create a new account after that.

a lua script does nothing for me in valorant

Okay, here’s the thing, if vanguard detects cheat on a pc, regardless of the facts that it’s being used or not, they ban the player.

It’s a hard sell. When they review your ticket, they see the actual tool that got you banned, they don’t see past that, what its meant for or used for.
Devs on their free time check on tickets here sometimes, don’t tag em, just wait for em to get online and see it.
what’s weird is i’d accidentally turn it on and off while i’d play because it’s binded to my caps lock it never slipped my mind it would pop in cheating logs
if any dev would like to speak to me about it i can show the full script and explain how i wasn’t cheating 😭

There were players who got banned for roblox/gta cheats and got manual reviews, but never unbanned.
wait i also have gta cheats but haven’t injected in a long time will that still mess up anything?
If it was inactivate and didn’t get you banned earlier, I doubt it could be it. But that’s just my speculation.

Vanguard can detect cheats even if it’s not explicitly used for Valorant. If it flagged the script and banned you then it isn’t a false ban. Vanguard doesn’t have a way (to my knowledge) to know if the cheat, or in your case a script, is used for Valorant so it will suspend your account. That being said, using a script that reduces recoil in any game would be considered in some form an unauthorized modification. You’ll have to wait out the full duration of the suspension and just don’t cheat on any game in the future.
to be honest like i said to the other guy i don’t even know if it was the script
he brought up the gta cheats and i do have gta cheats so it may have been that

Vanguard is a kernel root anti cheat. It could have detected the gta cheat application or the script. Either way the out come is still the same.
so for future reference when i am unbanned should i just deleted the cheat
so it doesn’t get detected again
Yes, you should delete any cheat engine or application for other games.

More than likely the next ban due to cheating will probably result in a permanent suspension of the account and Riot does not allow appeals for permanently suspended accounts.

I’m not a Vanguard developer so i don’t know the inner workings of the full thing. That’s a question for a Riot dev who works on vanguard
understandable i’d think id be safe if it was a cheat engine or script not even used in the same time frame of playing valorant
But I do believe you consent when you download Valorant or League of Legends which require vanguard

I would just avoid cheating for any game in the future. The risk is never worth the outcome. You risk account suspension and it’s very common for cheat engines to log account credentials which leads to accounts being compromised

so that’s why i thought id be fine
A cheat engine or application is just that to Vangaurd. It doesn’t discriminate if it’s for offline or not

vangaurd doesnt and SHOULDN'T detect a REASON for a cheat, whether or not the cheat was ethical or not ethical, whether for valorant or not.
the second something is flagged and/or detected on ur system you get booted off and hwid banned for 4 months.

Okay well first off bypassing vangaurd is an ACTUAL offense so dont do that, second off i think your best option is to either reach out to support (in which case if they say no you wait out the ban until you're able to play the game again) just know theyre not fully stopping you, you can still access valorant after 4 months.

Just incase you need to know this; if they reviewed your account in support, you still have all the right to reach out again although i wouldnt recommend it they will most likely come up with the same response so dont reach out again until the 4 months is over (u can ask them for the EXACT Date, put that in the ticket, and they will tell u the exact date and time the ban will be lifted off of your system) and next time just dont install scripts on the same system you have vangaurd on, maybe try a second computer although if you're cheating in other games unethically i wouldnt recommend it, something cheat creators dont tell you (trust me i was in that market before and i regret it) is that most of the popular public cheats are backdoors into your system, you need to understand that to cheat you are letting a DRIVER, a SYSTEM DRIVER into your pc which is accessing memory, and sometimes writing memory, and they have keyloggers and malware and even remote access software, so right now the general case is to not use cheats and wait out the ban.

More than likely they have to contact a support agent internally to get the details of the ban as they themselves aren’t apart of the supper team. As soon as they hear back I’m sure they’ll get back to you.
