Cpu overheating
Program versions: minecraft 1.21.5
windows 11
newest distant horizons for fabric
Pc specs (all laptop): rtx 4060 8gb (yes its enabled)
Cpu: ryzen 7 7435hs 4.5ghz
16gb ram (8gb allocated)
So basically im getting cpu temps of 85c (180f) and above with distant horizons installed, yes only installed, even with it disabled, but just installed on my mc world, no other mods enabled, ive tried with and without numerous performance mods but nothing will stop it from overheating my pc, even with all settings on minimum, really wanna play the mod without having these high temps and sounding like a jet with afterburners on

And yes alot of you will say i have bad cooling, i cleaned out my laptops fans and replaced the paste 2 weeks ago, my temps are fine playing any form of modded minecraft even with very fancy shaders, heck even with cyberpunk at max graphics i get better temps
what temps does it reach when you have generation turned on with the highest preset
let me see
if im still alive after my laptops catastrophic explosion from those temps
what should i set cpu load to? max?
Yes
Set the render distance to 512 or so and then wait a few minuted for it to settle the temperatures
whats this for?
So i can see if your cooling is cooked or its simply temperature spikes
alright
DH is way more heavy than CP2077
If u can use PBO on ur Ryzen try to use curve optimizer
screenshot of it being done, at 8 regular render distance and 512 distant horizons render distance

165-175f
or in broken units 76c average
which i still feel like is high
CPU in laptop usually get pretty hot
76 is okay tho
76c is not hot
really?? whats average
i go for 140-150f i turn up my fan speed
bro your cpu is under full load
was done loading chunks though does that matter
had nothing else 2 load
95c is the throttle limit
oh
thats why i said to change it to a 512 radius
let me try again
what temp is good for those settings?
Not reaching thermal throttle temps
got 80c
sometimes 85c
thats fine
i would not call that fine, is there really anything else i can do?
what are your usual temperatures by the way
i have a 9950x3d on a 360 AIO thats gonna be quite a bit different
ah
i just dont think this is the mod for me ðŸ˜
seriously, your temps are fine
you have nothing to worry about
it going up to 85c is totally normal considering you have a laptop
this is what I get

alright
lol my 7800x3d was at 88 celcius while loading lods you should be fine.
89c is max for my cpu lol
My i5-480M hits 98 degrees while compiling the Linux kernel.
linus emoji
The CPU has a thermal shutdown of I believe 105 degrees.
ive been seeing u sending this but i never realized it was linus until now
The Linus Torvalds himself.
Man, GNOME needs a proper clipboard manager.
Really hard to fetch my clipboard form CopyQ.
i never really liked gnome
My laptop instantly goes over 90 C and the fans try to lift it over the ground.
Laptops are almost always temperature limited
DH side only thing you can do is decrease the CPU load and/or disable distant generation
Else is under the control of the OS and BIOS, if you really want you can try changing your OS power plan or CPU wattage limit, but I agree with opinions above that even 85 C isn’t that hot
my laptop becomes an attack helicopter and hits 100c constantly...
throttle is 100c
reason i play on low impact...
my condolences
