Performance issues
For the most part I was able to run Valorant very well but ever since I updated my Fortnite, my Valorant has gotten a lot worse. My fps has dropped a bit and I get insane ping spikes, going up to 7000 when I usually get around 20, making any mode unplayable. I have a low end laptop but I was still able to run Valorant smoothly before this occurred. I’ve uninstalled my Fortnite and re installed Valorant in an attempt to get it back to how it was before but the ping spikes still occur. Is there any tips to help reduce the performance or is this just a device problem?

are you on wifi or eth?

can you open cmd and do “ipconfig” and show a screenshot of the part that says default gateway

ping 192.168.1.1 -n 100
and show a ss of the summary at the end

i did the ping check again with valorant open on the lobby and this was what i got
Switch to Ethernet test ping again
I don’t have an Ethernet cable unfortunately

the magnitude depends on ur wifi connection stability
do u use 2.4G or 5G?
ping spikes of 5-20 ish ms is normal but not 4000ms like op is having

honestly mainly seems like your pc is being silly when valorant is running
