Secure boot
@Icarus seems I might need your help.
Set the secure boot on my EVGA MB and now am getting a loop of recovery boot.
If I disable secure boot I am able to load windows.
I am running windows 10 on a 8 year old build.

First SS works and how it was set previously and second SS is the desired configuration to meet vanguard requirements but causes my machine to no longer boot windows.
I think it’s strange that this started today and there are many other posts on this (just noting feel free to ignore this part)

Click on restore factory keys

In standard custom keys are disabled (in the highlighted screenshot)
In custom it becomes available, and when using freshly reset factory keys I get the same boot loop. Resetting the factory key was required for me to set secure boot
Yes
Save and exit
And check msinfo32 page if secure boot is enabled
Icarus with secure boot enabled I am not able to boot windows. I get the screen shown in the screenshot of the first message of the thread in this post. That’s why I opened the post, I am definitely able to set secure boot on my bios - however I am not able to boot windows after so I will not be able to check msinfo32 from windows
I started getting this error today, though nothing on my machine has changed. I have played Valorant on this PC since season 1.
Alright we can try updating bios
Show msinfo32 page
leave secure boot disabled
Okay will grab msinfo32 now with disabled

Did some quick googling and found the issue, which is I have a dual boot with linux and windows:

You should be able to boot into windows
Secure boot doesn’t allow to boot onto some Linux os
And for that, you gotta enable TPM in bios
Yes I can boot into windows with secure boot off, but not with it on. I have a bootloader which is legacy to enable dual boot with linux and windows. Issue is the legacy bootloader I believe.
Will try to enable TPM brb
Disable legacy bootloader
And enable secure boot
And try to boot into windows
I haven’t used the dual boot in so long I actually don’t mind doing this. I will handle tomorrow after work if I have time
And report back
One other thing to mention now that this is likely solved. I got the secure boot VAN prompts that many are getting then I got something really unexpected which was a suspension. It was only a minute. Laughed it off with my friends and then we played an unrated and I got a second suspension of 5 mins, I then opened a ticket with support
Hopped on the discord and say that others were having similar issues. I am fine at the moment I think I see the course of action I need to take but just mentioning because my guess is you’re about to see a number of these same incidents
Cheers @Icarus will handle and report back!
