Star Wars Battlefront II (2017) on heroic compatible?
Hii, I saw that SW Battlefront II is on sale on both the EA app directly and steam and I was wondering if this game is compatible on Heroic launcher.
and if yes could i play this online, or is it possible to be banned because of anti-cheat? (playing it offline isn't a problem either but im just curious)

BF II works and ive been playing via heroic for a while, You're probably not going to be banned as no matter what launcher you install it from it will launch via EA desktop anyways. Its also on sale on steam for the same price so either way You'd probably be fine

like would i have to install the ea app through heroic too first? or just install it normally from heroic like any other game

no idea how it works if you own it on steam, as heroic is not a steam games launcher

note that that information is for linux, there's no consistent or up-to-date source of anticheat support on mac that I know of

https://www.codeweavers.com/compatibility/crossover/star-wars-battlefront-ii-2017 show a lot of inconsistent reports, and I don't see any mention about playing it online

I think heroic cannot show the install size of these games that are downloaded through the EA App, I think we don't get that info in the metadata

Might be, since it doesnt show the size after install is done for any game i didnt want to test it with deleting the game ( lol , hell no) or downloading Flatpak heroic to check what it does when game is not installed

I personally never got it to work with heroic, followed the guide on Heroic's github specifically for EA games. Tried a couple of different methods.
I did get it to work via lutris, but it was painful and took a while to figure out.
game always says that it failed to launch and try again later.
