not sure but d ?
The equivalents of EtMgCl aren’t mentioned
Whyyyyyyyy
Why not 😭
Should be d if the equivalents are as many as you want
Sorry ill tell what i thought
Yeah bolo
Mujhe to C lagra tha option
What do you think the answer is
B kyun nahi?
Ya A kyun nahi?
ruko yaar dekhne do mera load abhi hua
😭
Dekho dekho 😭
Hum nahi jaa rahe kahin
I dont think ester ka dusra O hata skte hum
A mei to dikkat ha vahi ans ha na
grignard hai and product is very hindered base
C bcz OMgCl bnega aur C pe ek +ve charge ayrga
bhaut dikkat hai kya vo to
Ester pe grignard attack nahi karta?
Nahi 😭
Mechanism socho dobara
Why not bro😭😭
Draw karo
possible kaise hoga vro
Dono Cl hat jayenge
Then ketone
Attack by grignard on ketone
nh4cl kya karenga vo smj nhi aara
It’s just work up
Provides H+
are mai alc nhi ki hu ketone to dur ki baat
mai to general idea pe bolri\
Ye nucleophilic acyl substitution hai
hn to basiclly griganrd ke through et additon hoga right?
Yes
hn uske ke general idea pe bolri ab ketone me exact kya hoga idk
Bana ke dekho
Grignard nucleophile
C=O ka carbon electrophile
vaise agar equilavent ho jyda to a possible hoga
Bnane mei hi to dikkat aari ha, elec transfer mei logic glt lag jata ha
Equivalent likhe nahi hain to excess maana hai
I’ll draw out dekho thoda
usme oet grp hai
hn to a phir ho sakta haina
D hoga
uske hatana is ughhh
A B C teeno honge
b kaise hoga vo baata do
Oxygen pe negative is not uhhh
dalke chood dena mere bhaiya ji laptop leere mai 15 min se aati
-OEt is a good leaving group
Koi ni koi ni jaayo 😭🙏
Mai banata hun
hn vo to stable hoga na sorry😭
hnn
lol koi ni
Ek kaam karte hain
Option by option chlte
D se shuru
Haan
D to all hai na bhai
Main apna reason btata
Fir usme glti bta dena
Hmm
Bolo
Oh shi d to all ha
C pe
C ka reason mene abhi diya tha
C to obvious hai
Hoga hi
B pe aayo
Hmm
Hoga hi?
Ans sirf A ha
Bruh what?
Yeah
Answer is either D
Nahi to C
Akela A to ho hi nahi sakta
Ans galat ho skta ha
D hi hoga mujhe bhi lagra ha
Hmm galat hai definitely
C ka reason sahi tha na?
Carbon pe positive nahi aata exactly
It’s partial positive
Attacked by that Et- from grignard
Which shifts the bond above to oxygen
What
Ruko ruko
Are all I’m saying is aise poora positive nahi dikhate usually
Like haan vo contributor hai resonance me ek
But minor
Accha, par usse farak kya pdega
Final result pe koi farak nahi
Just telling you for mechanism me accuracy
Oh okay
B mein aate
Hmm
Han i need b ka mechanism
Dekho
Et- comes in
Oxygen pe electrons shift
Itna samjhe?
Yes
Now niche vaale carbon pe there is -OEt
Which is a good leaving group
Yes
107 msgs since 21:23
wow.
Bhaari discussion
To Oxygen puts its electrons on that carbon and -OEt is out
Then after this
yeh oh ka h kaun de rha hai
There is still EtMgCl in solution
NH4Cl salt hai na
Water me daalenge to ions bana dega
Haan pada ha
Hydrolysis Padhi hai equilibrium me?
Acidic solution ho jayega
nh4 + and cl-
Haan iske baad
Now
It’s a ketone
C vala
It’s exactly same as C after this
@Prasan
Wait
Hogaya
Yeah
A option left
gem dihalide makes c=o
A option me C=O is electrophilic
idk how tho
Shaant gadhadhari bheem shaant
Henji?
Ye kab hogaya
Cl hai
Pulls electron density
Electronegative hai na
Hnn
Upar se vo bhi 2-2 lage hain
To now
Et- attacks
Acha haan sahi baat ha
Oxygen ke electrons shift again
Now you Cl- as a good leaving group
Same cheez hi bngyi
Fir kya bana?
Acid chloride
Uspe dobara grignard ka attack
Then ketone
Et et lag jenge dono side
Ketone se alcohol
Yup
Alright
Uske baad you get more EtMgCl
Then alcohol
Tumhe samajh aaya @hardcoreisdead?
Ki kaise banta hai
Yar ye elec vala factor, mereko kyu lagta ha ki kisi quesns mein karta kaam kabhi nahi
Dihalide
me bhi samjh gaya :aah:
Nice:)
my doubt was a bit diff tbh
Karta hai bhai
Har jagah karta hai
Batayo kya doubt hai
the alcohol formation with leaving group on electrophilic center
yeh kia hai
but in some ques ive seen gem dihalide being treated as c=o
i dont remember reagents tho
See
Gem dihalides don’t exist for long
Even if they form
They readily convert into ketones
Or aldehydes
Mechanism I believe I’ve shown you before
It’s not about the reagent
Gem dihalides are essentially Carbonyls (C=O)
It’s an equilibrium which is favoured too much towards the Carbonyl
Because of high bond energy of C=O
And less repulsion as it was in gem dihalide
(Also it’s planar to less repulsion with other groups)
oxygen kaun deta ha for this eqbm
Oxygen?
Vo kyun chahiye?
Solvent de dega na hydrogen
c=o ka oxygen
solvent kya hoga
Koi bhi protic
You’ll never see gem dihalides forming in aprotic solvents
Show me an example of you can though
I haven’t seen such thing until today 😭
kabhi milega toh bhejunga
its clear now
@Prasan u can close
