Display glitch and vertical bar on Bazzite OS with NVIDIA RTX 3050
Hi, I'm having serious display issues with my system running Bazzite OS (based on Fedora Atomic). I have a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 (GA106) and I'm using the proprietary NVIDIA driver.
The problem is: after booting into the desktop, I see a large vertical glitchy bar in the middle of the screen and some visual distortion.
From the terminal, lspci -k confirms the nvidia driver is in use, not nouveau. nvidia-smi also shows my GPU and driver version correctly.
Here's what I tried so far:
Ran sudo rpm-ostree upgrade && sudo reboot
Ensured nvidia-drm.modeset=1 is enabled in GRUB
Disabled Wayland by editing /etc/gdm/custom.conf
Checked BIOS but didn’t find any setting to force NVIDIA-only GPU (I'm on a desktop PC, not a laptop)
Despite this, the display glitch persists.
Does anyone know how to completely force NVIDIA as the sole GPU and ensure correct rendering under Bazzite?
Thanks in advance!
