Genshin Impact stopped working since today
I usually have no problems launching Genshin using Heroic. Today, however, it doesn't launch properly.
The actual launcher still opens fine, but when I try to start the game from the Genshin launcher, it just stops after a while (game window never shows up).
Things I've tried:
1. Different Proton versions
2. Reinstalling the Heroic flatpak
3. Downgrading the Heroic flatpak
Maybe someone has the same issue and found a solution.
I am on Pop!_OS 22

your GE-Proton-latest is in fact not the latest. update it
actually, switch to stock Proton 10 or Experimental
(but update GE-Proton anyway)

I did try switching to stock 10 and adding the
WINEDLLOVERRIDES = lsteamclient=d
variable - but then the launcher can't locate the installmetropolitan-bronze•2mo ago
what was your game's install path?

It was installed through Epic. I believe the path is something like Games/Heroic/GensinImpact/ (not at my pc right now)
But theres no GenshinImpact.exe file, just the launcher_epic and HYL.exe

You will need to be more specific because EGS/Heroic installs the HYP launcher, and the launcher installs the game.

Yeah I found out for some reason the wine prefix didn't contain the .exe file anymore (no clue how that happened). So now I am reinstalling with native Proton 10. Hopefully that will work.
Anyways, thank you for your help so far. 🙂
