Update fails
Whenever I update my ente desktop, the shortcut breaks and I can no longer start the app unless I re-download and install it

The best guess (yours as good as mine) is that it is a bug in electron-updater - (e.g. this issue https://github.com/electron-userland/electron-builder/issues/9181)
