Show your wiring diagram!
Led strip vcc/gnd to external power (laptop usb or powerbank, both doesn't work). Esp32 GPIO16 to led strip DIN.
That's it cuz I don't have resistor or anything else.
I limited to 16 LEDs, still not working.
Ok!.. do a thing!.
I hope that your led strip must be of 5v. ( If not provided it require voltage).
And instead of flashing wled firmware into your esp32 .
Write a simple program to glow that 16 led in the strip.
( Wled required some configuration before working therefore must check if you are able to glow your led strip with simple code. )
Use a different power supply for led and then run it
I tried powerbank, still not power on
What is the voltage rating?
And it will not turn on until you give the correct data byte.

@chientrm haven't you it's generally taking 5v and 2-3 amps of power use a power adapter and try once
And once also see the wiring once bcz it's lot confusing when I first tried using it

Turns out the retailer wrongly wielded the led strip
Wrong direction. i cut it and wield it from the other side and work.

Yeah!. The data travel in this strip linearly and we have connected it in zigzag manner to make a whole rectangle display

I run it with the phone charger. I cut the usb and connected with it.
You can check the maximum power rating of the phone charger
It 5V 3A
I tried it with a local 5v -1amp adapter and it gets on smoke after 30 mins

I got esp32 with shield board

Don't you use shield board?
Nah!.. I am always low on budget.
Shield board is cheaper than the esp32 board itself tho

You rewire manually?
Yeah
I cut the cardboard, stick the strips on it solder the connections
And I was using phone charger
There was a problem on less brightness in the end leds
I solved it my giving power at the end too

You could use multiple adapters
Then wire share the GNDs and data in
This will increase the burden of carrying the adapter
I used my friends redmi fast charger. It was good at taking load.
Imma see if any of them smoke out today
