TDP slider does not work in gaming mode (desktop AMD dGPU)

I wonder how to make the TDP slider work?
The GPU I'm running is 6500 XT from ASRock.
amdgpu.ppfeaturemask=0xffffffff kernel parameter in bazzite. Adjusting TDP manually works through writing value to /sys/class/drm/card*/device/hwmon/hwmon*/power1_cap so its possible. The slider does display correct power1_cap_min and power1_cap_max, however adjusting the slider does not change power1_cap. Most of the time gpu is running with unreasonably high power draw for no good reason, since most of the time I'm playing really simple to run titles. I would like to run the system more efficient where I can.I wonder how to make the TDP slider work?
