Massive performance drops after a reinstall

So as the title says I've done a fresh install of linux and while I was able to play most games just fine before Im now getting performance issues even while just web browsing. The one game I did try to play was completely unplayable. I was previously using Aurora btw. I saw bazzite was more geared toward gaming so I wanted to try it out. I'm fairly new to linux though so I'm at a loss.
