Bazzite booting into emergency mode.
Hi all,
I rebooted my ROG ally X today and it dropped me straight into emergency mode no matter which ostree I select. I am dual voting with windows. I’ve tried mounting nvme partitions but could only find a partition with /boot and /ostree on it. I have secure boot and fast boot both disabled. I’ve changed absolutely nothing on the system.
Any help hugely appreciated I’ve been struggling with this over the last couple hours!

Cheers - I’ll give it a go now
Fingers crossed
Ok - now it boots into bazzite
But only the TDP menu can be opened
It can go to the command line
There’s basically just no user interface, just a black screen
I have no experience with game mode. Maybe try
ujust fix-reset-steam
?Can’t run any commands because it wants me to enter username and password, I’ve tried bazzite:bazzite but I might just need to remember what I set up ages ago…
Nevermind im in!
I ran it, confirmed and then the screen went black
TDP still works
Going back to command line it states that steam is already running
FIXED
Entering the gui manually worked
So let’s just see if it works on a reboot
🤞
Okay so it boots into the gui
But it is stuck checking for available updates
Managed to connect to WiFi through the terminal and it seems to be updating okay
Worked brilliantly
Thank you so much for the help
