Fuzzy Frametime graph after last Bazzite/Steam update

When I display Bazzite on my TV, just as on this screen, after the last update, Frametime graph started to show quickly oscillating frametimes, up to 31ms. Before, the graph was completely flatline in all games I've tested, like Tekken 8, MH World, Battlefront 2. Now it's fuzzy like this :/ My TV has no VRR, it's 60 Hz and frames are limited by games V-Sync. Strangely enough, when I turn ON the frame limiter from performance overlay, the Frametime graph gets flat again... then after some time it's fuzzy again. I turn the limiter OFF, graph gets flat... Then fuzzy again after some time. Not sure what's up, any ideas?

Solution:
After two months of having problem with it, after updating Bazzite today, the problem with fuzzy Frametime graph disappeared. Not sure what changed in the update, if it was MangoHud bug or AMD driver issue....

lemme guess, you're on proton experimental?

It's a per game setting right? I only use it for Battlefront 2 and it has no issues. The screen is from Tekken 8, normal settings, so normal version of Proton.

i recommend you try proton ge from protonup qt and see if anything changes my theory is that there was a regression in latest proton experimental as of 11th of july which is where everyone started complaining about performance difference and proton experimental is the default

Thanks for the suggestion, I havent thought about Proton being an issue. I use normal Proton for all games except BF2, but I will check out GE, worth a try. ah okay, this changes things πŸ™‚ Something definitely needed to change, because when I've first installed Bazzite, my graph was completely flat in Tekken, Monster Hunter, Mad Max Now it's this fuzz - and I haven't changed anything in my setup. Actually I've even reinstalled Bazzite again, thinking I've messed something up

don't worry, it's hard to mess up on bazzite and if you do it's easy to revert as long as you don't touch stuff you don't understand you don't have to worry at all

On the previous install I was messing with MangoHud, to add various metrics, before I realized there's a Decky plugin for that. When I have performance overlay in game mode enabled, my screen keeps blinking, both in Steam Game Mode and in games - I thought it was some clash of MangoHud and MangoApp (steam's implementation of it in game mode). But nah, after reinstall, the blinking persists, so yeah, it was not me messing something up πŸ˜„ I wonder if this overlay blinking in game mode, might be caused by 180 Hz refresh rate of my monitor, maybe SteamOS supports only 120 Hz or sth... I have no ideas left

should just work

Overlay ON in Game Mode just blinks in a way that can cause a headache and I can't find a solution for it. It is what it is, dunno. Im on full AMD build, so it's not Nvidia causing trouble. Thanks for help, I will test Proton GE in the evening πŸ™‚
