Hi so my pc froze while trying to install a kde plugin to make wallpapers from wallpaper engines to work so I rebooted and now I see this

Yeah, it's a lifesaver. When using wallpapper engine have this bookmarked for when/if you pick an incompatible wallpaper btw: https://docs.bazzite.gg/General/Desktop_Environment_Tweaks/#wallpaper-engine-guide-only-on-kde-images

oh btw im not curently on an hdr display but whenever I use hdr on my tv games wont output in hdr im using a 4070
probably is just nivida being nivida on linux moment
You need proton ge 10+ and enable wayland and hdr with flags in order for it to work. Alternatively you can use gamescope

Nah hdr is still undercooked on linux. Great that it finally works

Yeah, I'm loving it. Went full windows free after 3 months on it
Been doing a thing I wouldnt recommend distro hopping but finally just said I need to stick with it
I cant leave windows anti cheat games
Distro hopping is fun for a while. bazzite is advanced linux on easy mode

I heard mint got wayland now so W
Mint is fine, but for gaming or with recent hardware the main gaming distros are best imo. Cachy and nobarra are just too much maintenance for me

"wallpaper-engine-kde-plugin" is already provided by: wallpaper-engine-kde-plugin-100.ed58dd8b-1.bazzite.x86_64. Use --allow-inactive to explicitly require it.

If you can update, do so. There have been some mitigation for the bug implemented, but it's not fully fixed yet. A lot of disk changes and unclean shutdown may still lead to this state 😦
