Cant open genshin (even after following a tutorial)
I managed to get the launcher up and installed the game and had to go to bed. next day I wanted to play but cant open the launcher anymore

the launcher worked and i managed to install the game from there
so the launcher was runnin for ab 35 min for the 90 gb download
and then i went to bed

I would be surprised if you got it running on Wine-GE. there were some very specific patches in Proton 10 that addressed HoyoPlay's inability to launch

so i should try in normal proton and not wine?
launcher took its time to start in proton and after pressing play nothing happens. not even an error message the game just close

GE-Proton with UMU ends up triggering the anticheat

I had the same issue and got it working with proton experimental I think it's provided by steam but I'm not 100% sure

Withheld information can sometimes hold the answer or lead to it. Playing hide the ball when asking for help just causes more frustration and wasted time
Refusing to provide requested information is such a weird move too
