Some command to retry wifi connection without reboot

I've recently "upgraded" my home network to Ubiquiti, and it seems like it has given me unreliable internet. This, of course, isn't Ratos's problem, but it seems like the setup is quite impatient with trying spotty wifi connections, and really quickly reverts back to creating the RatOS wifi setup hotspot. Is there a way to tell ratos to instead just keep trying for a bit longer, without needing to reboot the entire rpi? A slight tangent: Any ideas why my rpi4 can see multiple copies of the same network? Yes, I have multiple hotspots and a mesh network, but it seems like if i pick the wrong one, it refuses to connect. Looks like I need to randomly pick the base station's wifi to connect (which is quite far away)?
