Assistance with my bed mesh pls.
Here I thought I would suffer the most on the electronics build of this printer and fortunately nothing got fried 🙂 Now I'm trying to figure out the bedmesh and from what I've been reading, I need to loosen the bolts and either give it a whack up or down to adjust? Do I need to loosen both of these? From what I can tell, I need to lift the right back side and lower the left back side?
Appreciate your expertise 🙂

Solution:1.5 delta isn't that bad on a 500. I only got my 400 down to 0.100. Adjust your Scale z-max all the way right to make it not look worse than it really is. Looks like you do have room for improvement in the back right corner. Right back tap it down, Left tap it up if the right doesn't level it out. Make small adjustments and re-mesh, one side at a time.
You only need to loosen the bolts for extrusions the motors attach to, each corner has two bolts. Shouldn't need to adjust the top. The commissioning guide gives a decent explanation on it....Jump to solution

Thank you, it seems to have made a difference 🙂 I agree, it gives a decent explanation and I was probably overthinking the process. I just made a small adjustment and increased my Z-Scale. Looks much better than before 🙂 Should I keep adjusting or does this look fine?

oh sorry i was definitely off by a decimal point. For some reason was thinking 0.150 in my head.
Keep going you should be able to get it below 0.200mm. May need to teeter tauter it on the left and right cause you have the center z rail that could resist the movement.
also are you meshing with the magnet installed and no flex plate? or is that picture just for reference? idk if that will create issues if you are meshing that way
I don't have the flex plate installed. I did install the magnet though. I found out later not to install it until AFTER bed meshing 😦 That said, I have it below .2 now 🙂 I think that should be fine?

awesome, you leveled that out much better. I don't know what the magic good enough number is. I leveled mine out to 0.100mm with the bed only and been running it at 0.12mm after the flex plate installed.
You might have some x gantry droop too that could help fix the drop off in the back corners. I just help someone else with this in this in another post. I had same deal with 0.4mm delta and straightened out the gantry to get it down to 0.100.
Thank you 🙂 I was going to ask about the X Gantry. I see videos of people "pulling up" on the bar. Do I need to loosen anything or just "pull"?
just pull, not saying rip on it but enough to barely flex it. I think its just the aluminum extrusion that isn't perfectly straight. Likely the reason why everyone upgrades them.
I guess I should have mentioned I upgrade to a Toro Titanium Tube. Perhaps I over tightened the linear rail a bit?
ha ok, i couldn't tell if you did, i saw all the other upgrades you got. I don't have experience with the titanium tube, prolly can't straighten that out. Possible the linear rail could be doing something. Couldnt hurt to reset the rail.
roger that. THANK YOU SO MUCH. You have been very helpful and I think I understand it much better with your helpful recommendations 🙂 I think I'll work on it some more tomorrow with a fresh mind hahaha
NP, make sure you post final results. So it can help others.
@Collinsdogood I tweaked the X gantry as it was slightly not touching the right back (really hard to tell there was minor play) and re-ran the tests. I think I can call it a morning 😛 That red bump though still has me puzzled. I'm still thinking it's the rails though. Waiting on some tools to access those locknuts as I didn't have the proper tools at the time...
