mechanics

i hve solved the que it was pretty simple. but where did the vertical velocity just before collision? theyt havent mentioned anything about that so i took it zero cause obv there can't be any vertical velocity upon collison but still whats the logic?

in the solution they have written '' where did the vertical velocity go?' and left me with the question:aah: @hardcoreisdead :uhh:
CorrodedCoffin
revise toh nahi kia hai but ill try vertical velocity would give the ball B a downward impulse ig which the string would handle

na vertical velocity ka impulse laga to string break ho jyega Equilibrium condition me hai ball
CorrodedCoffin
thats the neat part it doesnt

:aah: Fir kaha gyi velocity Air friction wgera to kuch hai nai
CorrodedCoffin
arey rope ko impulse d upar hinge hai uske upar force laga aur usi pe dissipate ho gya try imagining the situation irl (also tell yeh kaise kia com revise nahi kia hua)

Mhm ye ho skta hai cause or koi reason to dikh ni raha Arey kuch nahi momentum conserve krdia x me Velocity aagyi Usko root 5gr se equate kara Or d ke lie wo range ka concept lagaya
CorrodedCoffin
monkey jis velocity se jump karega ball A se usi se ball B pe jayega and same hi angle pe right? uss se d= 10L ??
Real potato
Real potatoOP5w ago
Ha Ux velocity se ans yaad nahi h yr dekhna pdega
CorrodedCoffin
let ux be the velocity of monkey in x axis mux = 2mVa with the same velocity ux it reaches B sticks to it and monkey + ball system execute circular motion with velocity v = root(5gL) mux = 3mv d= 90L 2nd part ka ans batana

Real potatoOP4w ago
Yup d=90L Impulse = m(root(45gl)) $mu_y$

tum shi keh rhe the wo impulse hinge samhlega @hardcoreisdead Tabhi tension ka impulse ye ayega Chill nhi kruga close aarm se try kro

thanks man
CorrodedCoffin
uy= ux = 3root5gl hmm alr why not 2m btw 2m mass pe velocity uy daalega monkey

Impulse = change in momentum Final momentum zero hogya na Y direction me Initial mu_y tha Samjha?
CorrodedCoffin
but x axis mein bhi toh A ki velocity hai

X ki velocity se string ka tension change nai hoga dt time me Y ki velocity se hoga
