Too Laggy [Fixed - Solved]
when I open the ente photos app in my android 14 device (everything updated, latest etc its not problem of my phone) its too laggy like when I go my photos or initial start its too lazy laggy.

Is video streaming enabled? Do you see a performance improvement after disabling it?

Also It's not just the photos I posted on Ente like for example, when I go to the second tab on the right and look at my photos under the “On Device” category, there is also a lot of laggy
I tried with the enabled and its nothing changed

@vishnu I discovered something, when I moved to the right side of the screen and started caching all the photos and videos on my device one by one, the lag began to decrease
So when it's not cached, it's completely very laggy
there is a performance optimization issue in the process of scanning and processing files I think
because when I look at it in my own file manager or another photo tool, there is no problem at all
For example, I have 8,000 photos in one folder, but I can't even open it because the screen freezes in ente photo app
and when I look at it with my own file manager or another photo tool, such as Google Photos or other material files or a simple photo app, there is no problem
So it would be a good idea to review the entire file scanning and processing process locally to see where this performance issue is occurring
So this issue goes away when I increase the cache ratio, but other applications work fine without caching
This is normal, because a file manager is for local files.

Google photos is likely faster since they don't have encryption

I just got update and its fixed it does not laggy anymore also its more smooth

like I've been waiting since July 25th and now its so smooth and lag problem it gone (version 1.2.4 I've updated now)
