high ping since coming back to game (no responses on my last post???)
i entered a post a few days ago;
i took a break from valorant and came back to the game with high ping. ive remained the same provider, the same ethernet the same everything. ive tried changing my dns and trying wifi/ethernet and they all have the same underlying issue: they all work and bring me down to 30 ping for 1 singular game and then it goes back to 60 ping. i am almost CERTAIN this isnt a provider issue on my behalf. i have -30 ping on literally every other game ever except for val. there has to be something else for me to do except just "reach out to my provider"

Riot Games - Latency issues form
In order to do a deep dive into your latency issues we need more details from your ISP, please go to https://ifconfig.co/ and fill this form with your details
nope no vpn
and i filled it out thank you
its just so frustrating cause if i change my dns it works for 1 game and it goes back to 60 ping. its like it resets itself or something idk
yeah that wont help you, ill check it out
thank you SO much i really appreciate it
:val_Hampter:
ill be going to bed soon so if anything comes up just give an @ so it will be easier to see when i wake up
@ִyierra ᰔ pushed a change today, can you do a traceroute again and have a look if your latency is better ?

im also in game though, should i redo this once im out of my game?
i was experiencing ping spikes up to 150 just the game before
is that traceroute towards
192.207.0.0
?
do it for 192.207.0.0
& also for 192.64.173.0
please
make sure you put .0tractert i did was 192.207.0.0 so yes
ill do those two and then ss them
I just deployed it so might take few more minutes to hit you guys
alrighty!
do the other one when you finish playing as well if you can
whats your current latency to Virginia and Chicago
how do i check? im currently in game on georgia servers w my friend
oh next time you are starting a new game you should be able to see latencies towards servers in the menu, when you finish playing do the traceroutes to
192.64.173.0
ill be back to check later on
aiming to get Virginia better for Tmobile users in PAalrighty thank you! ill send ss and everything after this game. i really appreciate you helping me
@Kenji-San i got these, first one is 192.207.0.0 second one is 192.64.173.0

so my ping on virginia is around 45 and is spiking anywhere between 80-100 ping, illinois is around 47 ping and is spiking to around 60
Thanks for doing these, let me check it more
hey @Kenji-San sorry for the ping haha, i just woke up and decided to do the traceroute to 192.207.0.0 for funzies and i got this

yeah the problem is that your provider is sending traffic to Chicago and Ashburn at the same time, its not an easy fix for me to do, ideally we would meet at a point and share our traffic there but they have no presence in any of these. We will have to wait until that happens, ill try few stuff in meanwhile to improve this but no guarantee
thats why sometimes when you traceroute or ping its 35 and sometimes its 50, its being balanced across two locations
ahh i see thank you so much
either way it seems to be fixed for the most part, minor ping spikes or connecting ina game w 60 ping. so im fine with that! thank you so much
yeah I did a small change that basically tells the provider, "please use the exit point where you entered" that makes it symetric from our side at least! hope that helps a bit
it will eventually get solved when T-mobile get their connections/fibres in Ashburn or Chicago
