Straight Lines

Why cant i assume that P and Q lie on x and y axis respectively, i mean on the intersection points of Line with axes ? Would that change the answer

Yeah definitely it would change the answer because u are taking a specific case and question hasn't mentioned anything so u have solve it as a variable And they could lie on the axes but not necessarily

I see the mistake here Because R is fixed If R wasnt fixed ig then we can assume that P and Q lie on axes

No never do that until mentioned in question U can't take a specific point as a case when there are infinite points available to choose
