Ping Spikes upto 90ms, packet loss and processing delays as well. Please help me fix it!!
I am seeing a lot of ping and network rtt + processing delays spikes. My ping avg shows 23ms but it keeps spiking to 40-90ms and my net rtt + processing delays go up to 60ms+. I see some pacet loss as well in game. I can feel it in the game. Though my crosshair is on the enemy head I get shot down. I can see the jumps.
Can someone please help me fix this?

I could help u to make it less laggy Bc i had it too long time ago and U Maybe Should fix ur game in the riot client in the settings if it wont help Try to Update ur wifi/ethernet Drivers if it still didnt fix it u should Use less apps in the backround.

I have all my graphics settings as low, my wifi drivers are upto date and there are not background apps running.
Have u tried to re install the client Bc Vanguard is a driver and it never updates by it self and if it wont help Then i dont really know further

I lit just found out i got the lag spikes bc i got a spy software on my pc ( virus ) and i used malwarebytes and it kinda helped with the ping and packet loss
try to do that too
it helped me a lot

i got like from 70-100 fps now to 120-150
What Antivirus are you using?
Another thing I struggle with is my ping in Singapore servers. Not sure what happened but i used to get ping of 30-38ms in Singapore servers but now I dont see anything below 50ms and lot of packet loss.

They are random. it suddenly spikes to 44, 50, 60 etc
yes, rn im on wifi. I tried a cat 6 cable as well but didnt see a lot of improvement.
Could you connect the cable once and do the tracert command ?

alright had a look, routing looks fine, youor provider routes via different carrier in order to reach us in Mumbai, I reached out to them back in 2024 and they mentioned they have no plans connecting with us there... I asked again see what they think since it was a year
but your problem seems to be ISP related, I suggest to get a ticket up with your provider to check for packetloss for your connection. it also might be related to the carrier provider, India is just bad connections everywhere unfortunately

Ive dropped an email asking them to consider this as a huge community from Hyderabad and south india struggle with this as a lot of users opt for ACT fiber.

it might help considering the ISP is skipping a "hop" to reach us where the game servers are, they will manage their infrastructure and they should see when their links are bad and quickly fix it. Currently they are traversing another provider to reach us

Just a had a huge conversation with my isp and my god they are so freaking clueless.
If you don't mind can you help me a little to see a better isp in my region? π₯Ή
if you think about it, they are only doing their jobs, providing you with internet service, for most of the providers they care to give you access to internet, and drop your traffic off to nearest internet exchange as quickly as possible. That being said they should listen to their customers if they have issues and try to solve it in the interest of preserving their customers. I dont think there is anything like "this is best ISP choose that option"
safest option for you is to go with the provider who is the biggest in the region, more players = more customer callcenter calls coming in when there is a problem = bigger pressure to the provider
True that! But surprisingly ACT is a very big player here. So it surprises me seeing how clueless they are.
I was just planning to decide isp that has much better routing from my region.
in India, biggest traffic from players is coming from Jio, Airtel and ACT

They also suggested to get a static ip. I see mixed opinions regarding it but might give that a try.
not going to tell you the latencies on those as I dont want to get stoned, but there is a provider called D-Vois and they are rocking sub 7ms on average some of them are sitting on 3ms π

now keep in mind that these are sampled by thousands, you can have people with 15ms and some with 2ms (just example) that gives you average on about 7ms

only scenario I can think of is that their static ips are routed differently than CGNAT ranges, tldr they might have a prio for static IP users. cant confirm or deny that though
