GENSHIN IMPACT Installed but only launches me to the page where you install/launch.
I have all the necessary files downloaded. I press launch on the heroic app it launches the genshin launcher. I have the button to launch it from there but once I press it, the game closes.

I may be a little late but what distro are you using and what proton/wine version are you using

Ok so
Follow the instructions for genshin from https://github.com/Heroic-Games-Launcher/HeroicGamesLauncher/wiki/Anime-Games
Then go to the steam deck desktop mode and launch the game there, go to your settings and set the bindings from keyboard to controller in-game
Then close out of genshin (might need to restart the steam deck) and go into heroic games launcher (still on desktop mode), then click on the settings for genshin and find the option to launch an exe instead, point it to the genshin impact exe (should be located in /Heroic/Genshin impact/games/Genshin Impact Game/genshin impact.exe)

After that just click on add game to steam in heroic (if you haven't before) and you can play

Almost there. Having an issue trying to login once the game is launched there is no way for me to type in my login info.

Haha yeah that happens, if you have a USB to USBC or a keyboard with a USBC output then use that, otherwise you should be able to launch in gaming mode and press steam+x for the keyboard

Ok so I should be able to launch from gaming mode before I am able to change the settings to controller on desktop mode? If that’s the case it shouldn’t be an issue.

what you can do:
- launch the app from heroic game launcher
- once the hoyo launcher is launched, turn off all internet services
- now launch the game, it should be working now
reason: hoyo is trying to stop linux users for some reasons, so for that they try to get the os details from the launcher while launching, but if you turn of the internet, they will not know the os details, so the game will launch evantually
this worked for me
