First Layer progessively gets too close VC4 500
This just recently started, never seemed to be an issue until the past week or so. The nozzle slowly creeps to close to the bed as it goes, to the pont that the nozzle is scraping the bed fully and depositing nothing.
I have tried to re-slice things, used an older file, cleaned the nozzle, nothing seems to help. I haven't messed with any settings or hardware from previous when it was working fine. New heightmap and calibration did not help either.

Titanium x axis tube solve it
Currently struggling with the same thing 😮💨 Waiting on my Toro tube now... I'll let you know if it fixes the problem! https://discord.com/channels/582187371529764864/1397231744364581008
Have you heat soaked before doing your bed mesh and before each print? I have the 400 and I've been struggling with this and just switched to the Titanium gantry to try to save myself from the long heat soak before each print.
What I think is happening is that as your print for longer periods of time, the aluminum gantry is sagging from the weight of the printhead combined with the heat. This is the problem I was having, with the same excessive smush and with my extruder tearing into my filament until it couldn't move anymore clogging/jamming everything up. Adding the heatsoak code to the printer.cfg file and remeshing helped a bunch.
Toro tube installed and definitely don't have the issue with the nozzle creeping closer to the bed anymore. In fact it has reversed and is slowly moving away from the bed. Don't think it's a thermal thing anymore though because it eventually levels out and doesn't happen anymore. Probably a beacon or mesh thing... More to come...
Recalibrate Beacon needed
Good call! Beacon recalibration did the trick!
Can you upload a picture from first layer . Mark as solved ?
