shader fade in issue.
in short. The issue is that im going through a list of supported shaders (for iris) and all i need is ANY SHADER that does not make the game objectively look worse then vanilla. has any AA and does brake the fade in transition of the distant horizons like this.
the screenshot shows a difference of just 1 bock which makes the switch from LOD to actual render abhorant. but without shaders i have no AA

Try bliss
didn't worked. was first choice
Your question is very... opionated because everyone has a different opinion of what makes the game look better/worse than vanilla
You could try and increase your vanilla rd then you shouldn't notice the change much or you could try increase the lod quality
from all the shaders that i saw only YoFPS fit in that category.
even when i put it at 20 it still noticeable cus the change happens 0 to 1. the switch is instant
without shaders it smoothly fades. that for some reason just stops being a thing no matter what shader i use.
Could you send a screenshot of vanilla to compare the fading?
huh?
what was that bot message just now before you typed
It blocked me from saying s s for some reason
weird
Yeah
anyway ye sure ill send a screenshot
sorry for the wait. but here. without shaders this is how it changes from lod to normal. smooth enough that unless i look for it the only thing i notice is flowers being whole blocks with 8 chunks regular render distance and with 12 i dont see even that.
and with any shader it just pops from lod into regular. which makes me think something is broken.
I see what you mean, which version of Iris are you using?
Thats expected, shaders need to re-implement that feature themselves.
There aren't a lot that do have that, I think shrimple does?
no 1.21 version or above is avalible. so im just kinda stuck with aliasing if i want to use the distant horizons for now?
Shaders are not version dependent
oh gona try it out then
nah same issue
considering you saying shader makers need to re-implement it i assume there is a version where a lof of this stuff worked fine?
im using makeup ultrafast on atm10, im using like, the lowest preset which barely adds any effect, but with AA re-enabled, it's quite nice, and the transition seems to be smooth as intended
If you just want AA, you can try QDAA mod
