Steam on mac just refuses to launch
I installed Heroic and clicked on 'Install Steam,' and it worked. However, when I tried to install Schedule 1, it wouldn't download the last 0.3 GB. So, I cleared my cache and tried to relaunch, but now Steam won't launch at all anymore.

the
Install steam option in heroic installs an outdated version of Steam so it's compatible with apple's Game Porting Toolkit, it means it's outdated and cannot be updated, so some games that use more modern download algorithms fail to install
the solution is to NOT use heroic's option and use the commercial version of Crossover that can run the up-to-date version of steam
