Trying to install discord from Tar.gz
I initially installed discord from flathub, but, for some reason, that version doens't detect the games I'm playing at all, so I uninstalled it and tried to installing from the official Website using tar.gz. The issue is that every tutorial I can find online about installing those packages talk about some "configure" file that the discord tar doesn't appear to have. So the issue here would be, how to specifically install the official tar on Bazzite?

Extract it and look for an executable file, it should have no extension
No configure
Yeah, just extract it, open the extracted folder and double click on "Discord"

You're right. The executable works just fine. The issue is that it doesn't appears at the start menu, and I would like to know how to do a "true" installation so that is no longer a issue.
The "true" installation method is flatpak which as you said does not support game activity. If you want it to appear on start menu, go to ~/.local/share/applications , duplicate any .desktop file and edit it so it points to discord.
Also there is a GUI method: open start menu, right click on any app and iirc you pick "open application editor"
Discord doesn't detect games on Linux iirc
you have to use something such as vesktop
I think your solution may be the ideal one, so thanks.
Flatpak doesn't, package install does. So can tar.gz probably.
really?? oh my goodness
it depends with the game
On linux native games it sometimes picks up the executable name instead of game name
