HWID false ban. Please help.
Hello,
I was HWID banned in Valorant for using third party tools two days ago, but I believe this was a mistake. The only possible causes I can think of are mods for GTA and Cyberpunk. I never ran any cheats or third-party software while playing Valorant.
This is also a new PC I got just a few weeks ago, so it doesn’t make sense for it to be flagged this quickly if I wasn’t doing anything wrong. I had the mods on my old PC for a long time and they didn’t cause any issues there.
I reached out to support before, but the response I received was a standard message confirming the ban.
I have my system info, drivers, installed applications, Valorant metadata, and Vanguard logs ready to provide as proof. I’m also happy to share any additional information needed to help clarify this situation.

I really enjoy playing Valorant and would appreciate your help in resolving this issue so I can continue.

hey kris, sorry to bother you. i see you around a lot, so i guess you know what you’re talking about. i’ve been seeing a lot of false bans lately and think it might be a vanguard error. what should i do next? should i just wait, or is there someone i can talk to get this fixed? thanks.

I just got another reply from my Riot support ticket saying the ban was correct. I really didn’t cheat. It doesn’t make sense for me to cheat on an account I’ve spent money on and have used for years.
Same thing going on with me, I've already talked in other threads here and when someone looked they just told me "this account was banned for cheating" yet I can list every program I had running and none of them were cheats. Idk what's going on
Yeah honestly I think it’s a vanguard bug I’ve seen lots of people getting false bans. I can’t say for sure if they weren’t actually cheating but I don’t think an actual cheater would put in the effort of sending multiple tickets and even in their server. Hopefully riot reverts all the false bans 😭
I don't know if they're going to admit that they messed up, every ticket I've submitted keeps getting the response that they've confirmed it and won't remove the ban even though i never cheated. My last ticket they just told me that the decision is finalized so say goodbye to my account. Like I don't even know what i can do at this point
I did a little research and found out that mods for other games could get you banned too
I had mods for a few other games and I’m guessing that’s what got me banned

No i didn't have any mods downloaded, only stuff I had running were basic kbm things like lghub, icue, and razer along with things like Spotify and discord

I also had Razer synapse Spotify and discord open. I had installed an addon onto my Spotify. Don’t know if that’s what triggered the ban. I guess our best bet is to just wait for their response.
yeah I had extensions going for discord and so far everyone i've talked to about this had Razer Synapse running so I'm starting to notice a pattern. but riot has already officially shut me down fully so i don't think i have any chance of getting mine back
Try providing your system info, drivers, installed apps and vanguard logs. I’m not sure if those will help but it’s what chatgpt told me to provide.
let me know if it works for you, only thing I haven't provided them is my logs and drivers so far
ive seen random accounts getting banned for cheating while queuing on ranked so maybe its the same for u
i was queueing silver yesterday and game ended cuz cheater but no one had good scores in the game haha
Yeah, logs are probably the most important part. Im guessing they show what and when Vanguard detected cheats. I sent those logs to support, but honestly I doubt they looked at them. It’s a ton of data and with thousands of tickets a day they can’t go through each one in detail. I’m just hoping a dev here might see this and help sort it out. 😕

they check for background apps that r running while val is running so
I only had discord and Spotify modded with spicetify and razer synapse open
check for background processes aswell

The mods I downloaded were well known mods for gta and cyberpunk. There was a mod that didn’t work well with cyberpunk that I deleted already
But during all that my valorant was never open

These are most of the processes that were likely running when I played Valorant. I can’t be 100% sure since it was two days ago and I’ve restarted my computer since then. However, I tried to recreate the exact setup by opening all the applications that I think could have been running at that time.

do you think it could be cru? I used to to create a custom resolution 2088x1440 to play stretched
it doenst interfere with valorant at all though. it only changed the monitor settings.

custom resolutions is unrelated to gameplay
plus i did that too with amd radeon app so
if you look at reddit with how many people make tickets and apparently its just bot responses but I don't know most responses I've gotten have been very copy and paste like :SCGshake:

I know some people whom have strong opinions on people getting false banned. Like some of my friends they just say that riot doesn't care due to riot having lots of money

I know it might sound less believable since I’m bringing this up just now, but I can share any proof you need, system info, apps, logs, whatever helps clear my name.
About two weeks ago, I filed a warranty claim with Razer because my Viper V3 Pro mouse was skipping. Even after getting the replacement, it’s still skipping. I use Razer Synapse 3 at 2000Hz or 4000Hz, so maybe there’s some interference or a software issue messing with the mouse’s output.
Could that kind of problem make Vanguard flag my PC and ban me?
I attached a pic from my Razer warranty claim and the two mice with the replacement email. (Same case numbers.)

I don't think the skipping would trigger anything but were you using razer synapse?
So far almost everyone I've talked to (including myself) had razer synapse running in the background so I'm starting to wonder if Vanguard is getting triggered by it in the new update to UE5
